Starting with a ripe banana, which will provide natural sweetness and moisture, these bites also contain old fashioned oats, providing a great source of whole grains to fuel your day. A touch of organic wildflower honey gives just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the bold flavors of the coffee and almond butter.
Speaking of coffee, these energy bites are loaded with roasted regular coffee grounds, which not only provide a great boost of caffeine, but also add a rich and robust flavor to the bites. Combine that with the nutty and creamy texture of creamy almond butter and you have a winning combination of flavors.
To finish it off, a sprinkle of semi-sweet mini morsels adds a touch of chocolatey goodness, while ground cinnamon provides a hint of warmth and spice.
These no bake coffee banana energy bites are simple to make, too. Simply mash the banana, add the remaining ingredients, mix until well blended and form into uniform balls. Refrigerate for just a few minutes to set, and you have a snack that is perfect for any time of day.
