French Oven Apple Walnut Streusel Cake
Upgrade a yellow cake mix with butter, apples and cinnamon.

Ingredients:
Cake:
- Carlini Canola Cooking Spray
- 1 box Baker's Corner Yellow Cake Mix
- 3 Goldhen Large Eggs, room temperature
- 1/3 cup Countryside Creamery Unsalted Butter, melted
- ¾ cup water
- 1 teaspoon Stonemill Ground Cinnamon
- 2 cups grated apples
- 2/3 cup Southern Grove Chopped Walnuts
Streusel:
- ½ cup Baker's Corner All Purpose Flour
- ¼ cup Millville Old Fashioned Oats
- ¼ cup Baker's Corner Brown Sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Stonemill Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ cup Countryside Creamery Unsalted Butter
Directions:
- For the cake: Preheat oven to 350° and coat a Crofton Cast Iron 4.6 Qt. French Oven with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, butter, water and cinnamon. Whisk for 2 minutes until smooth.
- Fold in apples and walnuts. Pour into French oven, cover and bake for 40 minutes.
- For the streusel: In a small bowl, combine all dry ingredients and cut in butter. Mixture should be crumbly.
- Remove cake from oven and remove lid. Top cake with streusel and continue baking uncovered for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve cake in French oven or cool for 1 hour before removing from pan.
