Imagine creamy peanut butter sandwiched between tortillas. This luscious peanut butter spread adds a nutty depth of flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweet, velvety hazelnut spread. Together, they create a combination that's both tasty and comforting.
But what elevates these Dessert Quesadillas are the slices of banana. Bananas give the recipe more creaminess, natural sweetness and texture. Each bite brings a delightful contrast of textures, with the soft, creamy banana complementing the crisp edges of the tortilla.
And let's not forget the marshmallows. These fluffy clouds of sweetness melt into an irresistible layer, binding the flavors together and adding a nostalgic touch reminiscent of campfires and cozy nights by the fire.
These Dessert Quesadillas are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Leave room for seconds with this lovely and delicious recipe for a sweet treat after dinner or have it for brunch with a side of coffee or tea.
Prep Time: 6 minutes | Cook Time: 4 Minutes (plus 3 minutes to cool) | Total Time: 10 minutes (plus 3 minutes to cool) | Servings: 4 Quesadillas
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Countryside Creamery unsalted butter
- 4 Pueblo Lindo Burrito Tortillas
- 8 teaspoons Peanut Delight Creamy Peanut Butter, divided
- 2 bananas, divided
- 8 teaspoons Berryhill Hazelnut Spread, divided
- 12 Bakers Corner Regular Marshmallows, divided
Directions:
- Prepare a large nonstick skillet with butter over medium-low heat.
- Meanwhile, lay the tortilla down on a cutting board and make a cut from the center to the outer edge.
- With the cut flaps on the bottom left and right sides, work clockwise adding ingredients to the tortilla. Spread 2 teaspoons of peanut butter, on the lower left quarter of the tortilla. Slice 1/2 of a banana and add it to the next quarter, followed by 2 teaspoons of hazelnut spread on the third. Lastly, cut 3 marshmallows in half and place on the last quarter.
- To fold the tortilla, start with the peanut butter quarter and fold upwards over the sliced banana and continue folding over until you have a triangle.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 with all tortillas.
- Add butter to preheated skillet until melted.
- Place the folded quesadillas in the preheated pan and sear on both sides for 1-2 minutes or until golden and marshmallows are starting to melt. Allow to cool 2-3 minutes before enjoying.
